Before Watchmen: Dollar Bill Announced By DC Comics

It's obvious that DC Comics has big plans for growing their Watchmen franchise. In addition to all the Before Watchmen mini-series that are already in progress, DC Comics just announced today that they will also launch a new Before Watchmen story that will focus on the character Dollar Bill. However, Before Watchmen: Dollar Bill won't be a mini-series, but rather it will be a one-shot issue.Of course, very little information is known about Dollar Bill from the original Watchmen series, so it's understandable the the issue is a one-shot. In the original Watchmen series, Dollar Bill was an actor, athlete and member of the MinuteMen named Bill Brady. The most memorable thing about Dollar Bill from the original Watchmen is that he died when he was shot after his cloak got entangled in a revolving door. Before Watchmen: Dollar Bill will be written by Len Wein and illustrated by Kirby and Eisner award winning artist Steve Rude. Len Wein is also currently the writer on Before Watchmen: Ozymandias. Before Watchmen: Dollar Bill #1 is scheduled to arrive in comic book stores on January 30, 2013.
