Comic Book Men Season 2 Finale Walt

On the "Giant-Sized Anniversary" episode of Comic Book Men, Walt Flanagan kicks things off by sharing his theory on why Fonzie from Happy Days might have been a mutant. Walt makes some very valid points: Fonzie had power over women, Fonzie beat an alien (Mork), and Fonzie could bang a jukebox and make it play. A guy named Anthony brings the Secret Stash staff some sandwiches and cigars. He also has some Batman Shadow Box Wall Art that he wants to sell for $500. Walt puts Ming in charge of handling the negotiations, and after some haggling, Ming agrees to buy the piece from Anthony for $350. Kevin Smith brings up that it's coming up on Walt's 15th anniversary running the Secret Stash, and the other guys decide that they need to get Walt an anniversary gift. Ming, Mike, and Bryan decide to plan something hockey related for Walt. A customer comes into the Secret Stash looking for a copy of Giant-Size X-Men #1. It turns out that the store had just won a copy in an online auction, and the copy was actually signed by artist Dave Cockrum. However, the customer and Walt aren't able to agree on a price for the book. A guy brings a in an animation cell from The Lord of the Rings to sell. Walt calls over pop culture expert Robert Bruce to appraise the piece. Robert gives the piece a retail value of $350. After some negotiation, Walt agrees to buy the art for $275. A lady comes in looking for an epic comic book gift for her boyfriend in the $500 range. Mike suggests the Giant-Size X-Men #1 with the Dave Cockrum signature and the lady agrees to buy the comic for $550. For his 15th anniversary gift, the guys take Walt to meet New Jersey Devils Jim Dowd, Bruce Driver, Grant Marshall, and Ken Daneyko. The Devils show off their Stanley Cup rings to Walt. As part of anniversary gift, Walt gets to play a little hockey with the Devils. Walt and the Devils take shots while Bryan Johnson plays goalie. Walt tells the guys it was the best anniversary gift he could ever get.
