Deadline is reporting that six actresses are currently on 20th Century Fox's short list to test for the female lead role in Deadpool.
Here are six of the actresses: Morena Baccarin, who starred in Firefly, V and has a recurring role in Gotham; Taylor Schilling, who stars Orange is the New Black; Teen Wolf and Crush star Crystal Reed; Rebecca Rittenhouse, who starred in The Red Band Society, Vikings and Noble star Sarah Greene and Jessica De Gouw from The Arrow and Deadline Gallipoli.
The film will star Ryan Reynolds as The Merc With A Mouth and will be directed by first-time feature film director Tim Miller, who has been a VFX specialist.
Deadpool arrives in theaters February 12, 2016.
