As mentioned yesterday on The Graham Norton Show with Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool has been rated at a 15 certificate in the United Kingdom.

The 15 certificate is issued by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), to state that in its opinion, a film, video recording, or game should not be seen or purchased by a person under 15 years old.
The rating, according to the BBFC’s website, is for “strong bloody violence, strong language, [and] sex references.”
Appearing on Graham Norton yesterday, Reynolds talked about the decision to make the movie R-rated, talking about the stigma of doing so for a big blockbuster in the U.S. When he noted that it got a 15 Certificate, Norton joked, “We can take it.”
“And in China, it’s rated go f–k yourself,” Reynolds joked, referring to the film being banned in the country.
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
