Did the Smallville Pilot Have An Arrow Reference?

The last couple of weeks, we've been talking a lot about the Easter Eggs, guest stars and references made in Man of Steel to other parts of the DC Universe. Would you believe, though, that way back in 2001, the Smallville showrunners peppered a reference to Green Arrow--who later became a prominent character on Smallville before getting his own series in Arrow--into the very first episode of their show? Well, that's what a Redditor has found and pointed out. The image at right was posted to the social sharing site recently with the caption "Anybody catch this in the first 40 seconds of the first episode of Smallville?" Oliver Queen's disappearance on the front page of the Daily Planet, in the first minute of the pilot? Man, that's thinking ahead. We're sure it's not the first time this has been pointed out but, as with the Amy Adams appearance on the series, it was the first we'd heard of it and so we figured many of our readers might enjoy it as well.
