During a question and answer session at this past weekend's Wizard World Minneapolis, former Doctor Who star Matt Smith was asked what he thought about the actor replacing him as the Doctor, Peter Capaldi, and whether he thought Capaldi would  be a better Doctor than he was. "Peter will be brilliant," said Smith. "He's a lovely man. He's going to do something which is inventive and new, and he's doing really well and he's having a good time. I'm a massive fan of his before the show…I'm a fan, like you guys now. I think he'll be brilliant." "Will he be better than me? I hope not," Smith joked. "He'll be different, and it will be a different show and it will be a new show and that's what Doctor Who is about, and I've got to let it go. And the great thing about it is everyone has their own Doctor. So, hopefully, there's a few eight or nine-year-olds out there who I've claimed." Smith played the Doctor in season 5-7 of Doctor Who. Peter Capaldi will replace him for the eighth season, debuting later in 2014. Meanwhile, Smith is moving on to a major role in Terminator: Genesis, coming to theaters in 2015.
