The presumptive Republican nominee has not had time to play Pokemon Go. In a recent interview with the Washington Examiner, Donald Trump admitted that he hasn't played Pokemon Go, presumably because he's busy running a campaign for the presidency. "I don't, but people are playing it. No question about it," Trump told the newspaper. "I do not. I wish I had time." Trump may want to get started as the Republican Convention next week will likely be a hotbed for Pokemon Go players, as the game is currently the hottest mobile app in the nation.
Although he isn't playing the game, several of Trump's buildings (including his home Trump Tower) are locations for PokeStops and Pokemon Gyms. The White House, Trump's possible future home, is also a hotly contested Pokemon Go gym as the popular mobile app is sweeping the nation.
Trump has surprisingly been connected to several Pokemon stories over the last few months. A recently revealed Pokemon made waves on the Internet due to its surprising resemblance to Trump. Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch also shared a drawing he made as Trump as a Pokemon, albeit an unflattering one.
Pokemon Go is currently available in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Germany and the United Kingdom.
