Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg Stars In New Comic Book

This week, Bluewater Productions will release the latest in its series of biographical comics, Female Force: Sheryl Sandberg, covering the life of the former Chief Operating Officer of Facebook and author of Lean In.

Michael L. Frizell writes the comice, with art by Angel Bernuy. He says, "This story was my first assignment for Bluewater, and I found it quite a challenge as it was necessary to distill her life to date into one comic. Sheryl Sandberg's accomplishments and sage advice could fill several issues! It's exciting to see my first comic script see print, and Bernuy's art offers the perfect complement to the words."

Publisher Darren G. Davis said, "Our goal is to show the behind-the scenes machinations - many of them ignored by the mainstream media - that resulted in Sheryl Sandberg becoming a leading voice in empowering successful businesswomen. A visual medium provides perspective that is not only accessible but more relatable to the average person without losing any of the information involved."

Previous Female Force imprint comics have featured actors, politicians, authors, and musicians, including Mother Teresa, Hillary Clinton, Tina Fey, Arianna Huffington, Michelle Obama, Michelle Obama, Melinda Gates to Martha Stewart and Madonna.

Many of Bluewater's biographies are unauthorized. It's unclear whether or not Sandberg was involved with the production of this comic.
