In an interview with Jason Horton, Godzilla writer Max Borenstein said that fans should be on the lookout for some Easter eggs in the film. "Early on in the film," said Borenstein, "you should look out for an Easter egg involving the name of one of Godzilla's favorite foes." That's interesting. Could it be Mothra, or maybe King Ghidorah? A Mechagodzilla created by the government would fit in with the government cover-up theme of the film. Either way, will this end up being more than just an Easter egg in the future? But that's not all. "There's another Easter egg to look out for late in the film that involves a pun on the name of a boat," said Borenstein. In Godzilla, the world's most famous monster is pitted against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence. Godzilla comes to theaters May 16.
