Guardians of the Galaxy Super Bowl Trailer

The Alberta Film Ratings Board has just classified the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy. The trailer has been classified with a PG rating and a two minute and twenty-three second running time. The PG rating is for the trailer only, and may or may not be the rating of the movie. It's probably likely that the actual Guardians of the Galaxy movie will be rated PG-13, which is the rating that tends to get bestowed upon most intense action movies. Usually, when a trailer gets classified, it winds up getting released in theaters in a week or two. It's unknown at this point exactly when and where Marvel Studios will release the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. When Disney skipped promoting the movie during the Super Bowl, many assumed they might be waiting for the Captain America: The Winter Soldier release on April 4, 2014. However, with the trailer now classified, it's likely fans will see it much earlier than that. It's possible that Marvel Studios will release it in conjunction with a TV ad during the Olympics. Or during the Oscars telecast, which is set to air on ABC on March 2, 2014. Guardians of the Galaxy is set to be released in movie theaters on August 1, 2014.
