Happy birthday, Ian Somerhalder! The actor is celebrating his 37th birthday today.

Somerhalder, who currently plays the heart throb of Damnon Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries, is best known to the comic book community for a pair of other roles, as well. Somerhalder played Adam Knight in the Smallville TV series and Boone Carlyle in the LOST TV series.

Besides his Lost, The Vampire Diaries, and Smallville work, some other TV shows that Somerhalder has appeared on include Young Americans, CSI, Law & Order, and Tell Me You Love Me.
