DC's Legends of Tomorrow, the third ongoing series at The CW featuring DC Comics characters, has officially started shooting today, as announced by, well, just about everyone involved with the project.

The official twitter account for the show has opted to simply retweet the folks that have talked about the production starting, like Caity Lotz (White Canary) saying "Day one has begun. And yes were shooting a massive fight scene today," Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter) tweeting out a picture of a portapotty, or the above clapper board image, tweeted by producer Marc Guggenheim.

Guggenheim, one of the writers on the pilot episode, also tweeted out an image of the shooting script that doesn't reveal much. The title is simply, "Pilot, part 1" indicative of the two-hour pilot previously announced.

Legends of Tomorrow spins out of events on Arrow and The Flash, starring a large cast of heroes and villains brought together by time traveler Rip Hunter to prevent a devastating future. In addition to the above, the show stars Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl, Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson, Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, and Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer. Casper Crump will play Vandal Savage, the immortal villain behind the coming apocalypse.
