Sony PlayStation's E3 2015 press conference included a section dedicated just to their relationship with Lucasfilm and the Star Wars brand. That meant the announcement of a new mode for Star Wars Battlefront specific to the "Missions" section of the game, where single players or 2 players in co-op can take on AI enemies. Survival mode in Missions is exactly what it sounds like, the common "take on waves of enemies" style of battle seen in many shooters over the last decade.
The trailer shows off a new location, and the interaction between various types of troops, including the vehicles.
