The Big Bang Theory The Hesitation Ramification

The Big Bang Theory rang in the new year of 2014 the very same way it ended the old year of 2013: by helping CBS win the Thursday night ratings race. All of CBS' Thursday night comedies posted growth in key demographics from their last original episodes, but it was The Big Bang Theory which led the night by a large margin. According to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for January 2, The Big Bang Theory was #1 in viewers (18.93m), adults 25-54 (7.2/18) and adults 18-49 (5.3/15), the night's top broadcast in these measures.  Compared to the last first-run episode (on December 12), The Big Bang Theory was up  +7% in adults 25-54 (from 6.7/19), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 5.1/16) and added +1.25m viewers (from 17.68m, +7%). The Big Bang Theory posted its largest audience and best adults 18-49 rating since November 21, 2013 and its best adults 25-54 delivery since the September 26 season premiere.
