Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

In anticipation of its arrival on January 28, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have released a new trailer for Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. Originally released in 2013, Tomb Raider is a reboot of the classic franchise that gives players control of the adventuring archeologist Lara Croft. The reboot was a financial and critical success, topping sales charts with over 1 million copies sold within its first 48 hours and receiving praise from critics for reviving the aging series and bringing it into the modern era. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will bring the game to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for the first time, including the original retail release of the game, and all of the downloadable content packs. Both versions will feature improved graphics and run at 1080p, with the PlayStation 4 edition also sporting an impressive 60FPS frame rate. The game's story has a young Lara Croft traveling the seas in search of a lost, prehistoric Japanese kingdom. When her ship runs aground on an island, it's up to her to rescue and reunite the ship's crew before the mysterious cult inhabiting the island can get their hands on them. Tomb Raider: Definite Edition will be available in stores January 28, 2014.
