Guardians of the Galaxy's Vin Diesel and The Meteor Man's Chris Tucker have joined the cast of Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, from the director of Hulk, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will star newcomer Joe Alwyn in the title role. THR reports that Steve Martin, Kristen Stewart and are negotiating for roles as well.
Production begins next month on the film, which centers on a soldier who survived a battle in Iraq which was captured by news cameras and turned he and his buddies into instant celebrities when they returned home. On Thanksgiving Day, when most of the movie takes place, they're set to appear at halftime at a football game. the film will also flash back to the battle itself.
