Warren Ellis Drops His Prose Publisher, Cancels Dead Pig Collector

Comics superstar Warren Ellis has cancelled his Gun Machine follow-up Dead Pig Collector, telling fans via his website that he has ended his relationship with his prose publisher. "Due to continuing issues, I have today terminated my relationship with Mulholland Books. DEAD PIG COLLECTOR is cancelled (for now)," Ellis wrote. "If you pre-ordered DEAD PIG COLLECTOR: Thank you! And I'm sorry. Really sorry. Your vendor will reverse the pre-order soon." Ellis announced the title back in June, calling it "a long short story that will be released by Mulholland Books as a digital ebook single on June 15. It is a love story.  It is also about killing people and effectively disposing of their bodies." The cover, by comics artist Ben Templesmith, appears at right.
