When your dad gets cast on a show like The Walking Dead, you probably start believing anything can happen. In the case of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, his son believes that zombies are real and he really wants to talk about them.

The actor who will be bringing Negan to life on AMC appeared on The Late Show last night and inevitably talked with host Stephen Colbert about The Walking Dead. Sadly, he didn't offer up a warning about when Negan would be arriving on the series or what we can expect when he does but he did reveal that his six-year-old son has the same love for zombies as most of the fans.

Morgan's story starts the way all of the best ones do. "I was watching The Walking Dead and it was a scene where the zombies are eating a horse," the actor says. "All of the sudden I hear this [groan] and it was my kid and his eyes were this big and he's seeing this take place."

No, the son of Negan was not scared. He was hooked.

"He was like three at the time so since then all he wants to talk about is zombies. That's all he wants to talk about. So, when I do the show, I'll take him down to get make up done. He kind of understands that they're fake zombies, too, but they're based on real zombies."

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 PM ET on AMC.
