Toxic Avenger Actor Joe Fleishaker has passed away at the age of 62. He passed away on Monday at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. His brother Haskel told THR that the cause of death was most likely congestive heart failure.

The actor was a frequent collaborator with Troma Studios head and Toxic Avenger creator Lloyd Kaufman, who released the news via his Facebook Page. He posted a picture of the actor along with this caption.

"The Troma Team and I are truly heartbroken by the news that Joe Fleishaker has passed away. He was a great actor and a great friend. Toxie weeps. RIP Joe, Troma will never be the same without you."

The actor was primarily known as an Executive of Apocalypse Inc, a part he played in both The Toxic Avenger Part II and The Toxic Avenger Part III: The Last temptation of Toxie. He also appeared as Chester in Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV, and also played roles in other films like Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead and Tromeo and Juliet. He was often referred to as "Troma's biggest action star".

In response to a question of "what is the most important message ever to be woven into a Troma movie?", Fleishaker once said: "I believe that the only message is that if we don't take ourselves or our entertainment too seriously, we will discover that we are capable of enjoying ourselves without really trying. It doesn't cost a million dollars to make someone laugh, and you don't have to be famous to have talent."
