One of the most devastating moments of Revenge of the Sith came when Order 66 was enacted by Palpatine, calling for the execution of all Jedi, no matter how young or inexperienced. Those Jedi who remained were forced into exile, but a new issue of the Darth Vader comic book revealed another member of the Jedi Order survived this genocide.

In Attack of the Clones, Obi-Wan Kenobi investigates a dart that was used to kill a suspect, leading him to the Jedi Archives in hopes of finding answers. While there, Kenobi meets Jocasta Nu, a former member of the Jedi Council, who tries to aid him in his search to discover the location of Kamino.
The film doesn’t elaborate much on her character, as she firmly believes Kenobi can’t find records about Kamino because the system doesn’t exist, only for a young padawan to tell Kenobi it might only appear to not exist, which proves true, seeing as Palpatine erased its records from the archives.
Fans got to see more of the character in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, with an episode featuring a close partnership between her and Ahsoka in hopes of tracking down thieves who stole a Holocron.
The character doesn’t do much more than appear in the new issue, leaving readers to question how she survived Order 66 and what she’s been doing in the time since.
When Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2012, the company erased virtually all stories from canon outside the live-action films and the animated series. In the years since, a variety of books, comics and video games have been released to help flesh out the saga and fill in gaps in the narrative.
Recently, the book Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View was released that collects 40 different stories from various characters’ perspectives about the events surrounding the original film. That book has explored why there is a policy against droids in the Mos Eisley Cantina, that Han Solo “stole” a love interest away from bounty hunter Greedo and that Yoda initially thought Leia was the chosen one, not Luke.
The only way to truly embrace the entire narrative of the saga is by consuming all new stories surrounding it, comics included.
