The Walking Dead faced some stiff competition on Sunday, as it went up against the annual presentation of The Academy Awards.

While the award show might have put a slight damper on the overall viewers watching The Walking Dead, it wasn’t able to do too much damage. The series only saw a small drop this week, much less significant of a decrease than was seen in the front half of the season.

Last week, the show pulled in 11.08 million viewers during the broadcast. ‘Hostiles And Calamities’, an episode without Rick, Daryl, Ezekiel, Carol, or Michonne, still had 10.42 million people tuning in.

This may have been the second-lowest viewed episode of the season so far, but it’s strong considering what else was happening on TV. It’s also incredible to see how it stacks up against the other shows on Sunday nights.

Talking Dead, The Walking Dead‘s live after-show, came in second overall in terms of ratings. The Chris Hardwick program garnered 3.94 million viewers.
