Enid has become an integral part of Team Family having finally accepted the Hilltop and Alexandria communities as her home. While this has been heavily influenced by a friendly relationship with Maggie, there is another fun relationship on the horizon for the young character.

While speaking to ComicBook.com in an interview which will be featured ComicBook NOW's The Walking Dead set visit special on Thursday, Nacon revealed a new connection coming late in the show's eighth season.

"Well there is, there will be a new relationship later on in the season," Nacon said. "Enid kind of... she's more open to helping everyone around her to do the right thing, of course. So it's really cool to see Enid kind of branch out and be more open to people."

In the AMC series' Season 8 trailer, Enid is seen having what looks like an intense moment with Aaron. The immediate conclusion here would be Ross Marquand's character is on some sort of suicide mission and Enid is attempting to stop him or she is requesting to join him in the war and he is advising against such a move due to her age.

Marquand, who also joins ComicBook NOW on Thursday, offered a little insight from that particular moment.

"There definitely is a friendship and a bond brewing," Marquand said. "Of course you would assume that since Enid and Aaron have known each other since the Alexandria days, back before everything went south, they probably had a pretty close bond already, but I think now that everything is being tested and all these allegiances are really being questioned, it's especially important for these people to come together and coalesce and say, what can we do, how can we fight moving forward most effectively."

Whether or not the new-to-television Aaron and Enid relationship is what Nacon was referring to can only be seen when episodes from Season 8 of The Walking Dead finally start to air.
