Fear The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 7: Shiva

Tonight, AMC will air the midseason finale of Fear the Walking Dead's second season, the seventh episode of the year, titled "Shiva."

In last Sunday's episode, the group arrived at Thomas Abigail's estate but it looks like their visit will be short lived. After discovering Thomas's mother's strange antics involving poisoning folks so they can live on as undead walkers, Daniel will look to dispute her choices. More importantly, Strand elected not to commit suicide with his lover Thomas, Celia's son, but instead shot him in the head before he could turn into a walker.

The official synopsis for Shiva reads, "Our family faces their greatest test yet. Nick, Travis, Madison and others go to great lengths to keep each other close."

The title of the episode has been analyzed by fans of The Walking Dead who know of Ezekiel's pet tiger. The tiger, who only exists in the comics (so far) is named Shiva. However, in Fear the Walking Dead's case, Shiva is likely a reference to the period of mourning which will be held at the Abigail estate. It won't be a typical mourning, though. By the looks of things, those taking refuge at the estate will be out for revenge (or what they consider justice) after Strand's actions with Thomas.

Fear the Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 PM ET on AMC.
