Riverdale executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has revealed the title for season 2’s eighth episode, “House of the Devil.”

The script, from writer Yolonda Lawrence, will reportedly center on Veronica and Archie, and will test their relationship the same way “Tales From the Darkside” will challenge Jughead and Betty’s relationship.
“Uh-oh. Now it’s Archie and Veronica’s turn to enter Riverdale‘s…House of the Devil!” Aguirre-Sacasa tweeted. “Will #Varchie survive?”
Like all of the script pages seen so far this year, the cover features art from one of the Archie Horror titles — an imprint Aguirre-Sacasa remains a major part of, as the writer of Afterlife With Archie and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
As the town breathed a collective sigh of relief that Jason’s killer had been found out, another terrible crime occurred, in a space that had been considered one of the town’s safest, most innocent places. If Jason Blossom’s murder revealed the slimy underbelly beneath Riverdale‘s surface, as we enter Season Two, the shooting of Fred Andrews threatens to plunge the entire town into utter darkness.
Riverdale returns to TV for its second season on October 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
