If you've ever caught yourself shouting at the television thanks to an out of left field booking decision on RAW or Smackdown Live, you now have the chance to back up your talk from the inside.

WWE has posted a full-time open writers position on their careers website, where the considered candidate will "develop and implement creative storylines for broadcast and the WWE Network and Collaborate with a team of Road-based and Home-based Writers to build compelling RAW/ Smackdown stories that capture the audience and generate buzz" (via 411 Mania).

The other key note is that the candidate will "Consistently improve and refine storylines", a place where WWE seems to always invite criticism. This part of the position could also be called the "Cesaro clause", as the talented superstar is a perfect example of what can happen when someone is underutilized.

The writing staff at WWE has come under fire for not understanding the business or why certain characters are more over than others, but even with a talented staff, the big decisions come down to Vince McMahon. That could change in the coming years, but as long as you understand that going in, this is a rather stellar opportunity, so make sure to head here to apply if you're interested.

The storylines themselves take a hit, sure, but the main problem with WWE promos nowadays is the sheer amount of scripting they contain, not the quality of it. Superstars might as well have a teleprompter sometimes with the amount of rigidness in their delivery, and there is less room for adlibs and charisma to shine through.

The company recently announced a new match for Survivor Series though that made fans quite happy, as Dolph Ziggler will defend his intercontinental championship against Sami Zayn, another NXT call-up who has been given rather poor booking. Hopefully, this is a sign of better things to come.
