Actors Alexander Skarsgard and Michael Pena are promoting their newest film War on Everyone, but Pena's involvement in Ant-Man inevitably led to some Marvel Studios talk.

In an interview with MTV, Pena was asked about his involvement with Avengers: Infinity War. He couldn't confirm anything but did say he would be appearing in the Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man, and the Wasp. That got the two to thinking about a possible role for Skarsgard, who didn't believe there were that many options left.

"Well I mean they've done all of them now haven't they? Who else could I be?"

After being informed by Pena that there is an encyclopedia of characters at Marvel's disposal (most of them now known by his son).

"But then I'm just like, isn't it like I've just done Tarzan for Warner Bros., and then you kind of like, Marvel is like "dude, you're part of that family now (waves finger) nuh-uh, you can't come play with us. Nuh uh, you're playing in that playground now."

You would think then that he would naturally fit in over with DC's cinematic universe, but that isn't the case either according to Skarsgard.

"Pssht they're like you're Tarzan, that's like 1880's, you can't be like suddenly in one of our DC movies, like that doesn't make any sense at all. So like I can never play anything but Tarzan for the rest of my life, which is fine, I'm alright with that."

Granted, it didn't use to be that way. Marvel's Captain America Chris Evans was once in DC's The Losers, Ryan Reynolds was Green Lantern before he became Deadpool, and before he was the mad tyrant Thanos, Josh Brolin was Jonah Hex. In 2 out of 3 of those cases, though, it was leaving a bad situation for a better one, so take that for what you will.

You can see Skarsgard and Pena in War on Everyone when it hits theaters on October 7.
