Since NBC's Powerless is set in the DC Universe, you can expect some of their superheroes and supervillains to appeared on the half-hour comedy series, such as Jack O'Lantern and Crimson Fox. You can also expect the more iconic characters, like Wonder Woman and Aquaman, to be namedropped.

"The first claim that Emily Locke is working on is one caused by Wonder Woman," Vanessa Hudgens told DC All Access while promoting the show at San Diego Comic Con. "Just sets the tone I think."

Additionally, based on the trailer shown in May at the NBC Upfronts presentation, Emily's jerk of a boss (Alan Tudyk) considers denying her claim because the damage caused by Wonder Woman, who is a demigod, might constitute an Act of God.

In the first comedy series set in the universe of DC Comics, Vanessa Hudgens plays Emily, a spunky young insurance adjuster specializing in regular-people coverage against damage caused by the crime-fighting superheroes. But it's when she stands up to one of these larger-than-life figures (after an epic battle messes with her commute) that she accidentally becomes a cult "hero" in her own right… even if it's just to her group of lovably quirky coworkers. Now, while she navigates her normal, everyday life against an explosive backdrop, Emily might just discover that being a hero doesn't always require superpowers.

The cast also includes Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi and Christina Kirk.

Powerless is expected to debut sometime this year on NBC.
