Earlier tonight, it was announced that Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are in talks to write and direct an upcoming Joker and Harley Quinn film. This comes after yesterday’s news that a Joker origin movie – which will reportedly be unconnected to the DC Extended universe – is also in development.

While the potential Joker and Harley film was first announced late last month, this news has been many fans’ first introduction to the project. And…well, the Internet is having a bit of a field day in response.

Between fans wanting a film focused on Harley’s other comic relationship, fans who are overwhelmed by the slew of recent Joker-related updates, and fans wanting production updates on some of the DCEU’s other film projects, there are plenty of creative reactions to the news.
