Last month, the New York Times brought the world's attention to NXIVM, an organization who has been described by former members as a cult. This week, reports surfaced from a former spokesman Frank Parlato that a "key recruiter" for the group is an "Emmy Award-winning actress."

Now, the Daily Mail UK claims to have learned who the actress is, and the site says it is none other than a Smallville star.

Earlier today, the Daily Mail posted a lengthy article which detailed Allison Mack's reported involvement with NXIVM. The star, who played Chloe Sullivan on Smallville, detailed how Mack worked within the group on his blog, The Frank Report.

According to Parlato, Mack is said to have created a subsect known as DOS and hoped to turn it into a "force for good and a female force against evil."

For those unaware of DOS, the name refers to a group within NXIVM that is being called a secret society. It is said to include the highest ranking female members within the organization, and Mack has been connected to DOS as its second-in-command underneath founder Keith Raniere.

Parlato explains that DOS operates as a master-slave hierarchy. The former employee claims Mack has several slaves who are ordered to recruit more members and so forth. The report also explains women welcomed into DOS are kept on tightly controlled diets and are subjected to corporal punishment if their recruitment quotas are not met.

According to Parlato's blog, the organization supposedly has another tier above DOS wherein women can be invited into Raniere's harem. The write-up says Mack has "assumed the top position in the harem." When the Daily Mail reached out for comment from Mack's team, the actress' people said she is not taking any press inquiries as of right now.

In the past, Mack has not shied away from her connections with Raniere as she's worked with him before in her career. NXIVM has released its own statement about the current investigations and reports surrounding its organization. You can read their comment below:

"The allegations relayed in the story are built upon sources, some of which are under criminal investigation or already indicted, who act as a coordinated group. We will explore any and all legal remedies to correct these lies."

Earlier this week, attention was brought back to NXIVM when former Dynasty star Catherine Oxenberg met with prosecutors in New York about her daughter India. The actress is concerned her daughter is currently being blackmailed and starved by the organization.
