The upcoming live-action adaptation for Full Metal Alchemist is so close now that fans can almost taste its premiere. However, it might have been a while since you have seen the anime or read the manga, which means you would need to revisit the series. In addition, you might not even know about this anime and are just excited to see the film, which means you too need to re-watch the series. Yes, Full Metal Alchemist isn’t that long, especially if you watch Brotherhood, however; there is a way to re-cap the series without you watching all of those episodes.

The official website for the upcoming live-action adaptation has provided fans with a re-cap of the series, which only lasts a minute. With the live-action film being based on the original works of Hiromu Arakawa, fans and newcomers need to see the re-cap before its release. The video is titled ” You can learn about Hargen in one minute,” with the trailer video showcasing footage from the manga, anime and from the upcoming film.

Full Metal Alchemist along with Bleach has to be the most highly anticipated live-action adaptations to ever be derived from a manga. With that said, fans are so far optimistic about the film as well, despite most live-action adaptations being considered failures. Hopefully, Full Metal Alchemist doesn’t fall into the failure category and delivers.

However, if you are unfamiliar with the series still even after watching that video, you can read Viz Media’s synopsis for Fullmetal Alchemist below:

In an alchemical ritual gone wrong, Edward Elric lost his arm and his leg, and his brother Alphonse became nothing but a soul in a suit of armor. Equipped with mechanical “auto-mail” limbs, Edward becomes a state alchemist, seeking the one thing that can restore his and his brother’s bodies…the legendary Philosopher’s Stone.
