Although Lego got its start designing unique castles, spaceships, and other Lego sets, it’s quickly built a reputation around inventively bringing different franchises in Lego form. From the superhero worlds of Marvel and DC to the space battles of Star Wars, it seems like nothing’s off limits when it comes to a potential Lego set. The Lego Dimensions video game has teased countless more franchises ranging from Doctor Who to Mission Impossible.

We’ve picked out five popular franchises we feel would be great fits for the Lego franchise. Let us know what you want to see transformed in Lego form in the comments below!
Pokemon
With over 800 Pokemon to choose from, the Pokemon franchise could be Lego’s next perennial hot-seller. Whether they choose to just make models of individual Pokemon or figure out a way to make sets featuring Pokemon and their trainers, there are thousands of possible sets that players would just have to buy (especially in the spirit of “catching them all”). Could you imagine building a Lego Charizard or a jumbo-sized Snorlax?
The Pokemon Company is notoriously stingy with the merchandise to the Pokemon franchise,ย but they have licensed buildable Pokemon block sets before. The Japanese toy line Nanoblocks have made several different Pokemon sets, each of which are built with Lego-like blocks. However, Nanoblocks don’t have the same ingenuity as Lego’s master builders, so the sets look a little…blocky.ย

Star Trek
Star Wars and Star Trek fans have argued for years over which franchise is better, but Star Wars holds a critical edge: they have dozens of intricate Lego sets while Star Trek has…none. With a new Star Trek show on the horizon, it wouldn’t be surprising to see CBS and Lego reach some sort of franchising deal.
Although the Enterprise is a little bigger than an X-Wing, the Star Trek franchise still has tons of intriguing potential. There could be a set based on the Enterprise’s Engineering Bay, or the Bridge, or even an alien planet. There’s also a ton of different starships, ranging from one of the tenย Enterprises (when you include the future Enterprise-J and the two Abramsverse Enterprises) to Klingon Birds of Prey or Romulan warbirds.ย
The biggest issue would be that, unlike Star Wars, most kids probably wouldn’t be too interested in a Star Trek Lego set. Although it’s aging fanbase would still spend money, CBS would need to get more kids interested in the new Star Trek: Discoveryย showย to make Star Trek Legos a possibility.ย

Power Rangers
The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers are about to get their very own reboot, complete with updated Zords and suits.ย That’s why now is the perfect time for Lego to buy into the Power Rangers franchise, right before itย launches back into the pop culture spotlight.ย
Sure, Lego already has its Ninjago franchise, but the Power Rangers has a lot more potential and firepower. After all, it has GIANT ROBOT DINOSAURS, all of which can be easily replicated using Lego blocks. And I betย it wouldn’t be too difficult to design Lego Zords that merge together to form aย Megazord.
The most excitingย part about a Lego Power Rangersย line isย the potential for epic crossovers that have never happened in the TV series. Dozens of Megazords could collide in an epic battle 24 years in the making. Let’s make this happen, Lego!ย

Game of Thrones
While the bulk of Lego’s sets are made with kids in mind, the company makes plenty of sets geared for its adult builders. With that in mind, why not make a Lego series featuring one of the most popular shows on television today:ย Game of Thrones.
Lego already has an easy template for a Game of Thrones line, thanks to its popular series of Lego Lord of the Rings and Lego Hobbit sets. After all, what’s the difference between a cave troll and the reanimated corpse of Ser Gregor Clegane?ย
Lego could even replicate classic scenes from the TV series. Sure, theย Red Wedding wouldn’t have the same sense of dread in Lego form,ย but Lego Ned Stark’s head would be easily detachable so King Joffrey could execute him over and over again.ย Heck, there’s probably even a way for them to make a Lego Theon figure with a detachable…..wait a minute, maybe that’s not such a good idea.ย
ย
Naruto
Although Narutoย recently wrapped a long manga runย and is currently finishing its second anime series, the popular ninja franchise might still be a good bet for Lego to pursue. A Lego Naruto set would highlight Lego’s ability to make “play sets”, complete with hidden levers that can cause figures to jump or disappear.ย
Naruto doesn’t have many vehicles for Lego to design, but the toy builder has worked around that in the past with its Lego Lord of the Rings and Ninjago franchises. Naruto doesn’t need a race car or an airplane, but some of its characters use various types of ninjitsu to fly or teleport around. There are countless ninja moves in the Naruto world,ย many of which could be added into a Lego set….if designers got creative.
