Recently, Toei Animation released an animation reel detailing the various Saiyans taking part in the Tournament of Power. Fighters like Cabba and Vegeta are shown fighting against their respective opponents, but fans are paying more attention to one shot of Caulifla.
The trailer houses a short action sequence that assigns a number of Caulifla’s potential, and it is a doozy. Dragon Ball Super claims the female Super Saiyan has infinite potential, and the description has fans buzzing.
After all, it wasn’t long ago that Caulifla made her debut. The warrior was recruited by Cabba to fight for Universe 6 in the Tournament of Power on a whim, but she’s already shown extraordinary growth. The character can go Super Saiyan 2, and Goku suggested Caulifla could go Super Saiyan 3 if not higher.
Of course, there are fans who are less-than-pleased by Caulifla’s power boost. After all, the Super Saiyan form is a difficult one to obtain, and folks like Goku had to go through extreme trauma to manifest the transformation. However, if Caulifla houses potential similar to Gohan, then the heroine’s skewed power scaling is a bit ore understandable.
As Dragon Ball Super moves ahead, fans should keep an eye on Caulifla as the hot-headed fighter grows. The anime made sure to point out the heroine’s potential even though all Saiyans have endless potential innately. The race is one that powers up in times of great stress, so a Super Saiyan’s power can grow as long as their bodies are capable of handling the load.
So, who knows? The idea of Caulifla learning to go Super Saiyan God by the time Dragon Ball Super wraps isn’t a totally absurd one.
