For years after the first groundbreaking blockbuster hit theaters, it could be heard playing over parodies, sequels and even the trivia questions that play on movie screens before the feature starts.
And now, you can hear it live — while the movie plays in the same venue.
Film Concerts Live, who have previously staged similar performances for movies like Star Trek, Home Alone, Raiders of the Lost Ark and E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, and Back to the Future, are the ones behind the show.
“Jurassic Park is one of John’s most recognized, beloved scores,” FCL producer Jamie Richardson told Billboard. “The dinosaurs are created through special effects, but the reason they live and breathe is John’s music.”
The film will debut this fall with an as-yet-unannounced symphony orchestra. Composer John Williams will oversee.
