Comedian, actor and bestselling author Patton Oswalt was a special guest on Screen Junkies latest video. He participated in their “Dream Sequels” segment.
Of course Patton doesn’t just have a dream sequel in mind – he wants to see a trilogy created for M. Night Shyamalan’s 2000 comic book-inspired film Unbreakable, which starred Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.

Patton pointed out that at the end of Unbreakable you can see news clippings on the wall of Elijah’s back room that reveal there were other soul survivors of disasters that Elijah had orchestrated. Patton would call the first sequel Unbreakables and have Willis’ character go out and find these other invulnerable people. Patton then describes his plans for the third film which he would title: Broken. It would focus on Elijah trying to gain the powers that Willis’ character possesses.
In the video below, watch Patton fully explain his vision for an Unbreakable trilogy as well as a trailer that Screen Junkies whipped up for it.
Unbreakable grossed $95M at the domestic box office and an additional $153M overseas.
