Starz has acquired the pay-TV rights to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Variety reports.
Having been released in theaters at the very end of 2015, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be the last film included as part of a previously existing output deal between Starz and Disney. The financial particulars of that deal have not been released publicly.

Meanwhile, The Force Awakens continues to break records at the box office, passing The Avengers and Furious 7 to become the fourth-highest grossing film of all time at the worldwide box office, and is on pace to pass Avatar at the domestic box office.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now playing in theaters worldwide.
