Given the similarities between Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, it’s easy to figure we know roughly what the iconic franchise would look like if it were launched today.

But how would it be marketed?
Through the nostalgia for and broad awareness of Jurassic Park, there was no way to market Jurassic World fully as its own animal, so there’s an argument to be made that much of the promotion leaned on the franchise and the fan base more than a brand-new series would.
So…YouTuber Tom F put together a trailer using more modern editing, sound design and other techniques.

Released in 1993, Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park is one of a handful of movies credited with setting the template for the modern blockbuster. A critical darling and a box office juggernaut, the film adapted a novel by science fiction master Michael Chrichton.
Its 2015 sequel, Jurassic World, broke box office records, only to come in second on the year when Star Wars: The Force Awakens came along a few months later and broke them all again.
