Transformers: Age of Extinction Adds At Least $80 Million Internationally

Deadline reports that the film’s three-day cume to $80M headed into Saturday. Paramount Pictures says the Friday result is 42% higher than Transformers: Dark Of The Moon which opened to $161M in similar markets in 2011.

Estimates are that China took in about $30 million yesterday, about 25% less than what the U.S. generated. Much of the film was shot in China, Chinese actors were integrated into the cast and it was aggressively promoted there.
