While at his spotlight panel during the Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in London, the Arrow star revealed how he’d make a movie featuring his character, set firmly in the universe established in The CW’s Arrowverse. Watch the clip above.
“If we were going to do a feature-length film, what I would like to do is I would actually use every single important character from the history of the show that people thought were really important, I’d like to put them all in a situation where they’d all have to work together,” Amell said. “And I would like to put the entirety of the amount of money that we put into an entire season into, like, 98-minutes of screen time and see what happens.”
“Played by Robbie Amell,” Stephen said, including his cousin in the fun.
Stephen Amell has frequently expressed disappointment that he’s unable to bring his version of Green Arrow to the DC Movie Universe, but understands and appreciates the need to keep the two offerings separate. But there’s no denying that fans would respond well to a full-length Arrow film from the current production team.
We know Amell was kidding about adding Batman to the mix, but it certainly excite fans. Robbie Amell has already been established in The CW’s DC Universe as Firestorm and his evil parallel earth counterpart Deathstorm. Though the altruistic version of the character is dead, there’s always a way to bring him back into the fold.
Maybe putting him under a cape and cowl would be the best way to achieve that.
Arrow recently wrapped is fifth season with a shocking cliffhanger that teased tragic fates for multiple characters. We’ll find out how it will all turn out when the series returns for Season 6 this fall on the CW.
