The cast of Wonder Woman seems to have bonded quite a bit during their time on set, but the first meeting between Connie Nielsen and Gal Gadot was a bit awkward, to say the least.

Nielsen played the role of Diana’s mother Hippolyta in the film, with Diana being of course played by Gadot. Nielsen revealed to Flickering Myth that their parent daughter relationship made things a little weird during their first encounter.

“The first time I met Gal I was in the make up trailer inside a tanning tent getting spray tanned โ€“ a uniquely clammy experience โ€“ when, as I step out of the tent, naked but for a thong, Gal is whipping off her clothes to get into the tent โ€“ and that’s where we said hello the first time. Playing her mother added an extra twist to awkward.”

They seemed to have worked things out by the end, however, and both could possibly return in the as yet to be announced sequel. Fans are hoping that the sequel is officially revealed during San Diego Comic-Con, and Patty Jenkins has already expressed she has a plan for it if it happens. It really should be a no-brainer, but this is Holywood, so anything can happen.

Wonder Woman currently enjoys an 84.80 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings, and you can find the official description below.
