'Justice League' Deleted Scene Confirms Who Alfred Was Talking To

There was plenty of speculation on who Alfred was talking to in the original trailer, and now that mystery has been solved.

Thanks to one of the deleted scenes from the upcoming Justice League home video release, fans finally know who Alfred was talking to in one particular scene. It was thought to be possibly Green Lantern, as there was a reflection in Alfred's glasses, but it turns out it was Superman all along.

The scene starts out with Alfred working on a classic car in the garage when his glass starts to shake. Soon after Superman, who is now wearing his brighter costume, flies down and lands on the ground. Superman walks towards him and says "I'm assuming your Alfred."

Alfred responds "Master Kent," with a rather awe-inspired expression. He then launches into what fans saw in the trailer, saying "He said you would come. Now let's hope you're not too late."

You can watch the clip on the digital release of Justice League, which is available today.

Fans are reacting quite positively to the clip itself, including the lovely Hans Zimmer score, though they aren't very happy that the scene was left out of the final product. In many ways, it seems there's another movie lying in all this footage, and there are plenty of fans who would love to see what that looks like.

That might never happen, but in the meantime, you can check out one of the other scenes that didn't make the cut, which includes a reference to Superman's Black Suit.

Justice League ended its box office run with a pull of $228 million but fared better overseas. Internationally it brought in $428 million, resulting in an overall worldwide box office of $656 million. The mixed response has put the sequel in limbo, as the DCEU is expected to change quite a bit over the next few years. While a Wonder Woman sequel is in the works and Aquaman hits later this year, the status of Flashpoint seems to be constantly fluctuating, and The Batman is probably a long way out.

Justice League is available digitally now. It's set to ship out on March 30th on Blu-ray and DVD and should hit homes by April 4th.
