A sweet cat by the name of Batman has been making waves across the internet, due to his rare genetic mutation. As you can see, Batman has four ears and was recently given to the Western Humane Society in Pittsburgh after his previous owners could no longer care for him.

That’s all changed now, as Batman has found a home with a young girl and her mother. They started the adoption process before he achieved his recent fame, and his condition is exactly why he caught the daughter’s eye in the first place (via People).
“They adopted Batman before all of the publicity around him happened,” senior marketing communications manager Caitlin Lasky said in an email to People. “He caught the girls eye because she loves superheroes.”

This isn’t the first time something like this has happened either, as back in 2008 a grey cat by the name of Yoda became famous for the exact same condition.
As for Batman, the little guy couldn’t be happier, and the Western Humane Society hopes that his story will lead to many more happy endings for other animals.
“We are so happy Batman’s story has now made its way around the world,” Lasky said. “When Batman’s owner could no longer care for him, we were able to take him in, cure his ailment and get him adopted into a loving home. His story highlights the importance and need for urban open-door shelters like the Western PA Humane Society.”
