Whether you’re a fan of comics, video games, roleplaying games, or WWE, there are plenty of ways to spend your money in the collectibles market. Thing is, there is always an opportunity for more, and there are plenty of ways to expand some of your favorite toy lines.

Now some of these you might have already seen in some form or another on the custom market, and if you’ve got the disposable income and someone you trust to make it, you can probably add one of these to your collection today. Both of those are not the easiest to come by, however, so having a more mass market version is quite desirable.

From statues and more expensive collectibles to action figures and Funko, you are definitely going to want some of our picks to become a reality, and wouldn’t it be nice to not have to pay such a high premium for custom versions of this stuff anymore?

So hit the next slide to see our picks for toylines we want to see in 2017.

Icons Of Playstation From Kotobukiya

Kotobukiya is known for its line of ArtFX and Bishoujo statues, which depict the heroes and heroines of Marvel and DC in sleek and modern fashion. Bright paint applications and fun poses are what they’re known for, so why not pair them with Sony?

The company has a slew of characters that would fit this mold perfectly. Characters like Sly Cooper, Murphy, and Bentley could all be sold separately and unify when the bases were connected. The Uncharted franchise could be handled in a similar fashion, along with other franchises like Rachet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Parappa The Rapper, and the upcoming Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Kotobukiya’s use of bright colors and charming expression could work wonders with these characters, who for the most part aren’t even being used at the moment. What would it hurt?

Pathfinder From McFarlane

If you purchase an action figure from McFarlane, you know what you’re getting. The likeness is going to be spot on, and every crease and wrinkle in the character’s design will be represented on the figure.

So why not take some fantastic designs and give them similar treatment? Paizo’s Pathfinder universe would make a grand fit, and already features a number of incredibleย character designs to pick from. Characters like Merisiel, Zelhara, Meligaster, Imrijka, and Kyra all have unique and amazing designs that deserve to be recreated in 3D form, and McFarlane would be able to do them justice.

Dark Horse Funko Line

Funko seems to be mining every sort of genre and medium these days for the immensely popular Funko POP line, but there is one big property missing.

That would be any sort of representation from Dark Horse Comics. Now Dark Horse publishes plenty of licensed properties, so things like Sin City, Dragon Age, and Aliens are probably off the menu. That said, they also publish great original series like Hellboy, Abe Sapien, Lady Killer, The Goon, Fear Agent, Ghost, Emily The Strange, and Ether.

Why not show these fantastic books some love with their own line of collectible POPs, and fans would definitely appreciate being able to add them to their collections.

WWE Q-Figs From QMx

The WWE offers no shortage of ways to collect your favorite superstars merchandise. From digital card collections and board games to action figures and Funko POPs, the company is all about getting their brand out there.

Over the last year or so, another player has entered the “adorable collectible” market, that being QMx. You’ve probably seen their delightfulย Q-Figs on comic store shelves, and their cartoon-like qualities would be perfect for the superstars of the WWE.

The cool thing about Q-Figs is that they come with equally detailed bases, like Aquaman riding on Cthulhu or Poison Ivy sitting in her chair of vines. Undertaker could beย shown sitting up in his casket, and Shawn Michaels could be pictured kicking another wrestler through a window (poor Marty Jennety).ย The expressions on Q-Figs are typically over the top, and that would compliment the scenarios to a tee.

Gentle Giant DC Animated Line

Skottie Young’s fantastic art has been a hit on the variant cover circuit for awhile now, and that has also translated to success on the statue front thanks to Gentle Giant. The only problem? Where’s the love for DC Comics?

That makes this an easy pick, as there are plenty of fans who love the artwork of Skottie Young and would love to see their favorite DC characters like Batman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash depicted in this delightful form.

There’s also a great opportunity for multi-characterย dioramas if these are successful. Who wouldn’t want to see the heroes playingย poker with a pissed off Superman. Why is he pissed? Because Batman made custom lead card sleeves so that Superman can’t see his hand.
