Costume designer Kate Hawley has commented before that the team went through several revisions and takes on Harley’s costume, and thanks to EW’s new feature story (via Batman News) we now know what two of those variations are.

The first is something that looks like an alternate prison outfit, especially with the orange jumpsuit laying on the floor. The second one looks closer to her more recent look in the comics, and it actually works really well.

Hawley spoke a bit as to why they ended up going with their final version.

“She’s a girl’s hero,” Hawley said. “It was understanding how do we make her feel sexy by owning it as opposed to what a man thinks is sexy.”

While she most likely won’t be wearing these outfits in the film, Hawley did say that some of her most popular outfits would definitely be referenced.

“It’s been an amazing transition, seeing Margot become Harley,” she said. “We’ve had so many prototypes of outfits for her.” While Harley will appear in multiple outfits throughout the film, especially due to her backstory being the major source of flashbacks for the film (that’s where you’ll see most of The Joker’s scenes), you’ll see some of her classic looks at least get a wink and a nod.”

Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5th.
