Avengers: Infinity War isn't the only two-part superhero team-up movie that's likely to be renamed. A new report reveals some possible working titles for the upcoming Justice League movies as well, which has so far simply been called Justice League Part 1 and Justice League Part 2.
The titles come from a Heroic Hollywood report, though Umberto Gonzales cautions that he has not been able the information and stresses that the tiles are rumors at best. The working titles being tossed around are said to include:
- Justice League United
- Justice League: Angels and Demons
- Justice League: Gods Among Us
- Justice League: Gods Among Men
A couple of these titles should be familiar to DC fans. Justice League: Gods Among Us shares a subtitle with Injustice: Gods Among Us, the 2013 DC Comics video games. That game took place in an alternate reality where Superman had become the militant dictator of Earth after the murder of Lois Lane sent him over the edge. A similar universe was teased in the dreamlike visions Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and many assume it is the future that the Flash was trying to warn Batman about.
Justice League United was also the title of DC Comics series published from 2014-2016. The similarity there is almost certainly coincidental, as that series followed a version of the Justice League that was based in Canada and comprised mostly of what fans would consider the Justice League's b-team.
Gonzales also revealed what he has heard are dates that Warner Bros. has set aside of for future installments of the DC Extended Universe. Gonzales again stressed that these are unconfirmed rumors. The dates are:
- Oct. 2, 2020
- April 16, 2021
- July 2, 2021
- Nov. 5, 2021
Again, this is just scuttlebutt, so don't go making plans just yet.
