Hulu today announced a new agreement with The CW that will see the network’s primetime broadcasts join the Hulu Live TV service in the coming months along with local programming.

This represents a potentially significant upgrade for cord-cutting fans of The CW’s offerings. The CW’s current deal with Hulu only offers next-day streaming, and it only allows the most recent five episodes of a series to remain on the streaming service. Now those shows can be streamed live and stored on Cloud DVR.

The deal includes the live-streaming of popular DC Comics television series Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, and Arrow, as well as Archie Comics adaptation Riverdale.

Also included in the deal are new series Valor and Dynasty and critically acclaimed shows Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

“The CW has long attracted younger audiences to live TV, so we are very happy to offer the network through Hulu’s new live service,” said Tim Connolly, Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships & Distribution said in a statement.

“The CW is excited to be a part of Hulu’s groundbreaking new live TV service,” said Chris Brooks, Executive Vice President, Network Distribution, The CW. “This new partnership furthers our goal of expanding our audience across digital platforms.”

Hulu’s Live TV service offers more than 50 channels. With the addition of The CW that now includes all five major broadcast networks. Priced at $39.99 per month, a subscription also includes access to Hulu’s streaming library, 50 hours of Cloud DVR recording storage, six individual profiles and two simultaneous streams per account, with options to upgrade to an enhanced Cloud DVR with 200 hours of storage and unlimited in-home concurrent screens.

Hulu also has HBO, Cinemax, and SHOWTIME as premium add-ons.

Hulu’s Live TV service is currently still in beta and is available via Amazon Fire TV and Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV (4th Gen.), Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as Chromecast.

Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Arrow, Riverdale, and the rest of The CW’s fall lineup premiere in October.
