DC Films Director Zack Snyder has realeased a Batman v Superman and Star Wars mashup trailer today on Vero.

A few days ago he shared a photo on social media of our favorite vigilante Batman holding a lightsaber. Previously, he has also shared photos of Superman as a Jedi before the release of Man of Steel.

"Dark Side Knight v Superjedi. In anticipation of Rogue One, I wanted to share a little Star Wars fan film I made after JJ [Abrams] released his Hunka Junk mashup...long overdue," Snyder said.

There are several scenes of the Death Star hovering over Metropolis, behind the giant Superman statue, with words of wisdom from Yoda.

Seeing our favorite superheroes pick up lightsabers in anticipation of a huge battle is pretty darn cool.

And of course, Batman is on the dark side of the Force and Superman is the good guy Jedi...

Zack Snyder is cleary a huge fan of Star Wars!

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits US theaters December 16, 2016. Directed by Gareth Edwards, it's the first of the new standalone features from Lucasfilm and Disney, which take place outside the core "Skywalker Saga" of films noted by an Episode number. Rogue One tells the story of the small band of rebels that were tasked with stealing the plans to the first Death Star. The story spins directly off the opening crawl from the original Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. In that crawl, it read: "Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet."
