The newest Trial of the Gods challenge in Assassin's Creed Origins is now live with the chance to battle Sobek for some rare loot.

Throughout your travels across ancient Egypt, you'll see references to the crocodile god, Sobek, in most placed that you travel. Whether it's a shrine made in the god's honor or mentions of his name being used in passing as you navigate cities, the god of water and fertility's scaly presence is felt everywhere. Depending on the quests that you take, you'll also likely have direct contact with some of Sobek's most devout followers as well as some fearsome crocodiles that are revered alongside their god.

But when it comes to fighting Sobek, the battle is going to be as fierce as the appearance of the massive god would suggest. In order to access the second Trial of the Gods, you'll first have to complete the "Aya" questline, a requirement that shouldn't be too difficult if you've been active in Assassin's Creed Origins since the game's release. After taking care of that quest, you'll be notified with information related to the quest and Sobek's location. It's recommended that you be level 40 before you decide to take on Sobek though, and those who recall their difficult fight during the first Trial of the Gods against Anubis will likely attest to that level suggestion.

If you're successful in your fight against Sobek, you'll be greatly rewarded with loot. Upon beating the god, you'll get one item from the Anubis Gear Set to add to your collection. There are four different items in the set, and once you earn all of them across the various Trials, you'll automatically receive a Legendary outfit for your troubles. After beating the god, you can keep trying to fight Sobek if you want and repeat the Trial of the God, but you'll only receive XP and some drachmas for every victory after the first.

The second Trial of the Gods fight featuring Sobek is now live in Assassin's Creed Origins, but make sure to beat it while you can before it ends on Nov. 28.
