Bungie Warns Destiny 2 Players Of Known Beta Bugs

Players who are transitioning over from Destiny are getting hyped for the beta reveal of Destiny 2, and Bungie is looking to smooth out the testing process by giving players some insight into a couple of known bugs and snags that will be encountered during the beta.

When it comes down to these betas, getting to test the game ahead of time is what gamers look forward to, but the real benefit of the early access period is that the game's developers have a chance to improve the game before servers go live. Players are expected to send in bugs that they encounter to Destiny 2's support team as they come across them, but plenty of duplicate bugs get reported and can clutter up support accounts' Twitter feed and emails.

Before you get started on your Destiny 2 beta trial, take a look at some of the known bugs that Bungie wants players to be aware of:

  • Players may experience a variety of networking error codes when attempting to play the Beta
  • Bungie will be testing server stability throughout the Beta, which may cause error codes to appear periodically
  • Location names sometimes do not appear during Crucible gameplay
  • Players sometimes are Kicked to Orbit after witnessing a black screen when entering a Countdown match
  • Players may sometimes be placed at the beginning of the Inverted Spire Strike Activity when joining in progress
  • Sandbox balancing is still taking place: Some weapons or abilities may have higher or lower damage than intended
  • Not all content has been localized in all languages

The Destiny 2 beta will begin on July 18 for PlayStation 4 players who preordered the game with full access to the beta following within days of the opening with the exact times and dates here.
