Destiny 2 has finally launched on consoles, drawing players back into Bungie's massive universe as they grind away on missions, take on friends in the Crucible and stock up on all sorts of cool weapons and gear.

But it's funny how the launch trailers for the game work. This past week, we were treated to a pretty humorous U.S. launch trailer featuring Cayde-6 telling folks they needed "big guns" while fish tanks and other stuff exploded, and then charging into battle to Beastie Boys' "Sabotage". You can check out that trailer below.

As great as that trailer is, however, the Japanese Destiny 2 launch trailer tells a completely different story. It starts out simple enough, with one of the soldiers sniping a would-be assailant, but then sees another fellow warrior enter view, dancing along to music being blared from its assistive robot. Rather than attack, however, his group decides to move in a little closer.

And this, folks, is where the dance party begins. A dance battle soon stems between the three soldiers, and it suddenly grows into a much larger group, where everyone gets down to the song "Freestyle Playground" with a number of moves, including the Robot and a little bit of breakdancing for good measure – which can't be easy in armor.

The tone is definitely lighter, though, towards the end of the video, we do see some of the features that are available in the game, including the ability to play solo, join up with friends, or take on enemy soldiers within the Crucible, either AI or human. So it does nail down the point of what the game is about, but essentially does so with what has to be the greatest dance party ever. Seriously, we want to dance to it. This stuff is so good.

Anyway, you can check out the trailer up top and shake your groove thing to your heart's content, but don't let it distract you from the mission at hand – taking on whatever Destiny 2 has to offer. Dancing is great and all, but save some of your best moves for the game, yeah?

Destiny 2 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and will release on October 24th for PC.
