Oh, For Honor – will you ever win? For Honor launched to impressive sales, but the online brawler soon hit choppy waters. Ubisoft has done their best to clean up their mess, improving online connectivity, banning cheaters, toning down microtransactions, and releasing additional content, and it seems to be helping, but it's always a give and take with this game.

Recently, a new, rather nasty For Honor exploit was discovered. Basically, by performing a certain short sequence of moves, you could trick the game into thinking you were attacking an opponent by dropping on them from above, granting you a big damage bonus. This one hit kill exploit is relatively easy to pull off (you can check out somebody doing so in the video above), so its use quickly spread amongst certain unscrupulous players.

Ah, but worry not! Today Ubisoft issued an emergency patch which fixes the one-hit-kill bug! Hooray! The bad news, is the rushed patch actually creates new glitches that Ubisoft is just going to let fly for now, because I guess it's better than having everybody instantly slaughtering each other. Here's how Ubisoft describes the new bug:

With the following characters, performing a guard break out of lock followed by an out of lock Attack will result in a different attack stance than the default out of lock one:

- Lawbringer: Left Stance on light and heavy attacks instead of Right Stance

- Conqueror: Top Stance on light attacks instead of Right Stance

- Nobushi: Left Stance on heavy attacks instead of Right Stance

- Berserker: Left Stance on light and heavy attacks instead of Right Stance

- Raider: Top Stance on light attacks instead of Right Stance

Ubisoft promises they'll fix For Honor's latest glitch in the game's next patch, which will also include punishments for rage quitters and other new features. The update should be coming soon.

For Honor is currently available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. You can check out all WWG's latest coverage of the game here, and our back catalog of stories, right here.
